About the Producer
Loriot Pagel Champagne
The Loriot-Pagel family history took root in Festigny in 1838. Since then, six generations have followed, passing down the passion for vines and doing their bit to develop the family estate. A unique kinship between sharing experience and the love of champagne.
Loriot-Pagel Champagnes are set in 9 hectares of vines stretching over four traditional Marne Valley Crus (Festigny, Mareuil-le-Port, Nesles-le-Repons and Le Breuil) and three Côte des Blancs Grand Crus (Avize, Cramant and Oger).
The family are independent winegrowers. From pressing the grapes to labelling and presenting the bottles, they carry out every process to craft their champagnes within their own cellars. The grapes are harvested by hand and the finest bunches are meticulously selected before being pressed with great care. Apart from the Cuvee N°6, the wines are matured in small, stainless steel vats making it possible to vinify vintages and terroirs individually, respecting the wine’s evolution. Some of the reserve wines are preserved and matured in oak barrels.
At Dawe Wines our aim is to showcase champagne makers like the Loriot Pagel family and offer their terroir driven champagnes to the UK where they are difficult to find. Click here to buy them online with free delivery on orders over £150.*
