About the Producer
Pierre Gimonnet & Fils Champagne
Champagne Pierre Gimonnet & Fils planted their first hectares in Cuis, having carefully selected Premiers Cru and Grand Cru vineyards located in the Côte des Blancs. The Domaine now stretches nearly 30 hectares today. Its chalky subsoil allows the Chardonnay vines to reign supreme.
The Pierre Gimonnet & Fils House put down its roots in this area more than two centuries ago and continues to expand its estate there. Even since just 2016, 50 more plots have been added to the vineyard in Cuis.
The acclaimed terroir of the Côte des Blancs provides all the grapes for production – 100% of the grapes used are their own and the champagne produced is made to a profile quite unique to this house.
For decades the family have observed and cultivated with passion and respect for the land. And in doing so, have enriched their knowledge and understanding for making great chardonnay champagnes.
This expertise has led this house to becoming one of the most important and recognised producers of Blanc de Blancs champagnes that carries a true signature of the house.
At Dawe Wines our aim is to showcase champagne makers like the Gimonnet family and offer their terroir driven champagnes to the UK where they are difficult to find. Click here to view, with free delivery on orders over £150.*
