Jean Becker Crémant d’Alsace ‘B de Becker’ Extra Brut NV
With a dominance of Chardonnay in the blend, this is a ripe, clean, fragrant and fruity sparkling wine. It has an attractive tangy lemon character, a creamy texture with a final kick of acidity.
The renowned Becker family, whose winemaking legacy dates back to 1610, produces wines of the highest standard and, holds vineyards across five Grand Cru areas of Alsace, France; Froehn, Shlossberg, Sonnenglanz, Praelatenberg and Schoenenberg.
This high quality Crémant brings together Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Auxerre and Pinot Blanc that adds a nice new dimension to our sparkling wine collection. Traditional Method wine for under £20.
At the Becker Estate, Alsatian noble grape varieties (Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat) are planted within their various Grand Cru vineyards located in Froehn, Schlossberg, Sonnenglanz, Praelatenberg and Schoenenberg. They also cultivates Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Sylvaner and Chasselas. They produce wines under Alsace AOC, Alsace Grand Cru and some ‘Vendanges Tardives’ (late harvest) and ‘Selection des Grains Nobles’.
